Sister Leona Riebel, ASC

Sister Leona Riebel, ASC died Friday, April 30, 2021, at Caritas Center in Wichita, Kansas, five days after the passing of her younger sibling, Sister Barbara Riebel, also an Adorer. Sister Leona was 103 years old and had been a professed Adorer of the Blood of Christ for 85 years. She was one of four Riebel siblings who became Adorers.

Sister Mary Ann Bahr, ASC

Sister Mary Ann Bahr, ASC died on December 14, 2020 in the Caritas Center in Wichita, Kansas. At 95, she taught more than half of her life. She was one of 11 children born on the family farm near Olmitz, Kansas, and knew by age 6 that she wanted to enter religious life.

The ASC Family is a community of Adorers of the Blood of Christ Religious Sisters and those inspired by our values and spirituality. The Adorers were founded by St. Maria de Mattias in Italy and came to the United States in 1870. Today, we work for justice, peace, and love for our dear neighbor all over the world.
