Sisters, friends and family remember Sister Laura for her kindness, care and willingness to listen to others, as well as for her sense of humor and adventure. She and her siblings frequently enjoyed bus tours to scenic places. In retirement, she drove sisters to appointments, and quilted and assembled quilts, stitched, and decorated cakes.
Her parents, siblings and stepsisters preceded her in death.
Her cousin, Sister Jacinta Willenborg, ASC, many dear nieces and nephews and members of the ASC community, survive her.
She will be welcomed to the Ruma Center convent chapel at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, July 29, 2020. There will be vigil of prayer for her at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 30 for the sisters who live at the Center.
A Mass of celebration will be held later when family and friends are able to attend.
