Sister Barbara Jean Franklin was a teacher or principal for nearly 20 years in Illinois and Missouri before helping to lead the Diocese of Springfield, Illinois’ Office of Education for 3.5 years. She then went on to serve her community as treasurer of the former Ruma and Columbia provinces, as a provincial councilor and later, as U.S. Regional Leader. Currently, she is administrator and Community Life Team member of the Ruma Center, and co-director of the Vocations Ministry. She is also an author and speaker.
