Sister Dani Brought, ASC

Sister Dani Brought, ASC began her journey of religious life with the Adorers of the Blood of Christ in Columbia, PA, professing her first vows in 1979. After receiving her nursing degrees, Sister Dani ministered in hospitals and long-term care facilities until 1994 when she began 23 years of mission and ministry in Guatemala, during which time she founded and directed the Sangre de Cristo Health Care Project, providing services to thousands of persons in marginalized communities. Continuing to broaden her global perspective, she was called to Rome in 2017 to serve on the general leadership of her congregation. Returning to the US in 2021 and based once again in Pennsylvania, Sister Dani’s passion for justice and creative spirit led to her current ministry as the Justice, Peace, and Integrity of Creation animator for the US Region of Adorers.

Grateful, Tired, and Full of Wonder

I recently completed my last shift at Casa del Refugiado Center, and after three weeks of intense work and service in that 500-bed migrant shelter in El Paso, Texas, was able to enjoy some quiet respite time.
