Grateful, Tired, and Full of Wonder
I recently completed my last shift at Casa del Refugiado Center, and after three weeks of intense work and service in that 500-bed migrant shelter in El Paso, Texas, was able to enjoy some quiet respite time.
Sister Dani Brought, ASC is a nurse with an advanced degree in Gerontological Nursing and Administration. She was director of nursing and a home care nurse before leaving the U.S. in 1994 for Spanish-language studies in Guatemala, where she later directed the Sangre de Cristo Health Care Project. Back in the States, she is using her Spanish-language skills and other gifts to serve her sisters and larger community.
