Fall 2025
As we enter the season of Advent, the Church invites us into a sacred rhythm of waiting, watching, and preparing. Christmas is not only the celebration of Christ’s birth, but also an invitation to renew our openness to how God desires to be born anew within our lives today. For women in discernment, this season offers a particularly tender space to listen.

Advent reminds us that God often works quietly, slowly, and in surprising ways. Mary’s “yes” did not come with certainty about the future but with trust in God’s promise. Her openness made room for Christ to enter the world. Likewise, discernment asks us to prepare our hearts, to clear space, and to trust that God is already at work, often beneath the surface, shaping our desires, questions, and longings.
Preparing for Christmas can become a spiritual practice of preparing for vocation. As you set out the nativity scene, light the Advent candles, or spend time with family and friends, consider what inner spaces God may be inviting you to illuminate. Where do you sense hope stirring? Where do you feel called to deeper surrender? In small, everyday movements of love and prayer, we ready ourselves to say our own “yes”, whatever God asks of us.
May this season open your heart to the quiet grace of God’s guidance and deepen your courage to follow the path prepared for you.
What is one small area of your life where God might be inviting you to make space for Him this Advent?
