Adorers of the Blood of Christ U.S. Region
In communion with Pope Francis’ hope that all people experience an ecological conversion of heart, mind, and lifestyle, we, Adorers of the Blood of Christ of the US Region, commit ourselves to the Laudato Si’ Action Platform 7-year journey towards living an integral ecology life-style.
As Adorers, we pledged, in our 2021 Assembly, that we would move forward, “Trusting the Love that accompanies us and responding to the light that beckons us into a future of abundant grace-filled with challenge and overflowing with opportunity.”
Faithful to our statement of intent and the living legacy of Saint Maria De Mattias “we are called to participate day by day in the building up of the body of Christ, so that all creation can move toward that beautiful order of things which the great Son of God came to establish in His blood.” (ASC Constitution) In listening to the cry of the Earth and the cry of the Poor, we recognize our interconnectedness and seek to be a compassionate presence that is inclusive, loving and liberating.
We embrace this call to transformation towards integral ecology, beginning with a Region wide integrative process of study, reflection and sharing on Pope Francis’ encyclical, Laudato Si’. What we experience in this process will guide our discernment and decision making in the development and implementation of our Laudato Si’ Action Plan for the next 7 years.
As Adorers, sisters, associates, sojourners, and co-ministers in our sponsored ministries, ‘we honor the sacredness of all creation and with Mother Earth, we live the Paschal Mystery of life, death and new life,’ joining with all who commit to this sacred journey ‘that connects us to the Holy in all of life.’ (ASC Land Ethic)
