JPIC bits from around the Region

Adorers of the Blood of Christ

Adorers Standing for Justice

Over this past month, Adorers across the U.S. Region have been well represented, joining with many others, using voice and presence in numerous rallies to speak out and stand up for justice, respect, dignity, and protection for all persons, especially the most vulnerable among us. Prayers and supportive energy have flowed from and into all corners of our Region.  As always, we know that where there is one Adorer, we are all there. Here are a few of the comments shared by ASC participants:

“It’s so good to stand with others in the St. Louis area and believe that our voices and presence do make a difference. And it’s always good to be ASC witness and participant.”   – Sr. Kris Schrader, St. Louis MO

“I participated in the rallies because, taking to heart the words of Micah 6:8, I believe we need to address the root causes of poverty, homelessness, etc.  Maria’s words also encourage me: to work towards that beautiful order of things.  It takes all of us together.” – Sr. Miriam Rau, Wichita KS

“Walking among the crowd gave me hope, that there are other people who stand up for our democracy. At the rally there was a sense of celebration, in that we can freely express our opinions. And this is something I value.” – Sr. Nylas Moser, Lancaster PA

“I was touched by the diversity of the crowd and the many issues that were represented.  I was grateful to be one among the many gathered to stand against these injustices of our times.”  – Sr. Becky Balthazor, Wichita KS

“I was very blessed to be a part of ‘Sisters Speak Out’ in Washington DC, today, June 24. It was a true public witness and prayer for immigrants to be treated with dignity and respect and allowed due process, prayer for a just economy and how the present bill in congress will harm the most vulnerable in our country.

The situation in our country is dire. We have to do something.  We have to speak out and today was a chance to do so.  Was a true experience of living the Gospel!”

– Sr. Rose McKeown, Washington DC
