Farmers Market

Adorers of the Blood of Christ

by Sr. Janet Rowley, ASC

On August 20, sisters at the Wichita Center shopped at a Farmer’s Market without leaving home.  Crystal Vidal, Activities Coordinator for Caritas, transformed the Solarium into a mini mall. On arrival, sisters received a FIRST ANNUAL FARMER’S MARKET shopping bag and play money for their purchases.

Brianna Southworth, Archivist, provided a variety of knitted and crotched boutique items. Peggy Taylor, Administrative Assistant, hand-decorated jeweled butterflies. Food vendors included: Nikki Meyer, Community Life Team, lemon bars; Diana Morgan, MDS Coordinator, strawberry jam; Theresa Peralta, Housekeeping Manager, homemade salsa and chips; Denora Gonzales, Food Service, fresh lemonade. Harry Hynes, Hospice, donated delicate butterfly necklaces. Crystal hosted the make-your-own-fresh-flower-bouquet table.
