DEEPER LOVE
Valentine’s Day is often seen as a celebration of romantic love, but at its core, it is an invitation to reflect on the deeper, divine love that sustains all relationships. God’s love is unconditional, infinite, and ever-present—a love that does not waver based on circumstances or emotions. As 1 John 4:7 reminds us, “Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God.”

This day is an opportunity to go beyond flowers and chocolates and ask: How am I embodying the love of God in my life? True love is patient, selfless, and sacrificial. It seeks the well-being of others, not for personal gain but for the joy of giving. Whether in friendships, family, or romantic relationships, love is a sacred gift meant to reflect God’s grace and mercy.
As we celebrate Valentine’s Day, let us extend love not just to those closest to us but to the lonely, the forgotten, and those in need. In doing so, we honor the greatest commandment: to love God and love others as ourselves.
Reflection Question: How can I show a deeper, selfless love to those around me, reflecting the love of God in my daily life?
