No Strangers. . .Just Extended Family
During this time when anti-immigrant sentiments and misinformation are finding a way into laws and administrative policies, we Adorers of the Blood of Christ believe it is especially urgent that we stand with immigrants and with those who share our passion for justice for immigrants. This Month's Suggestion for Welcoming Immigrants.
"Suggestions for Welcoming Immigrants": As a new school year begins amidst escalating hostility toward immigrants to the US, the US Conference of Catholic Bishops has a number of suggestions for teachers and PSR instructors about things to do to foster a welcoming classroom atmosphere for immigrants and all newcomers. The site also has some suggestions appropriate to parents of school children, i.e. talking to your children about some thoughtful ways they can help a newcomer feel welcome and more at ease. http://www.nccbuscc.org/mrs/youth.shtml
