In the document, Forming Consciences for Faithful Citizenship, the U.S. Bishops’ state: “In the Catholic tradition, responsible citizenship is a virtue; participation in the political process is a moral obligation.” The Platform for the Common Good reflects the credible witness of over 2,000 Catholics to live the virtue of citizenship and to act on the moral obligation to participate in the political process.
